Headed out to the Straight Friday am, rain stopped as we pulled into PA, fished the afternoon tide and landed this nice Hali.....then had 6 more drive-bys, couldn't put a single one in the boat??
Drove up to Neah Bay that nite, found 300-400 of our closest friends already there. Limited on Hali and Ling Cod off shore (sorry no pics, phone dead). Then into the shore line for rockfish. Seabass, kelp greenling, cabazon, none could resist the fresh firecracker herring we picked up at Narrows marina on the way up, on 18" leaders and a 4oz bananna weight.
Back to Port Angeles that night for the shortest 5 hour stay in a motel ever. 1/2 day back in the spot where we had so much action, and not a bump. Oh well, still had close to 200 lbs of fish in the cooler to take home and share with friends and family.
