Area 11 or 13 lings

Went out this morning out of point defiance and fished the slag pile with no luck. We moved south toward the narrows and fished about 2 hours, we caught a few rockfish (released) and 1 keeper ling. Caught on herring on a mooching sinker. We didn't try live bait but tried jigs with different grubs and not much action for them. The water kicked up and was crashing over the rails with heavy rain so we got out of there early.

Nice work on the ling! It's been a different season for them so far in the north Sound as well.

It's gets a little choppy around the bridge, who knew haha. I have a 20 ft sled and when the wind kicks up against the tide 3-4 ft chop gets a little hairy.
