Shelton the San Juan Salmon Slayer

Postby Nelly » Tue Jan 07, 2014 7:45 pm

Salmon for Soldiers' very own Randy Shelton took a little time off from planning the 2014 event to do a little salmon fishing.

Here's Randy Shelton and Robbo hoisting today's catch

We ran a few herring but the hardware was the deal today. Luhr Jensen's "Blue Crush" UV Coyote Flashers ahead of Silver Horde Coho Killers and Kingfisher Lite spoons was the ticket.

Good fishing in the Islands right now... Does that mean that next week's Marine Area 9 will follow suit? Only time will tell! spy

That was one of the most awesome fishing trips that I have ever been on! Thank you Nellie and Robbo so much for a fantastic day! The new boat is the real deal for sure. No fish is safe from these guys!
I continue to be so very proud of Nellie and Robbo and their commitment to our Nations' Veterans. Without their vision, Salmon for Soldiers would never have become a reality. Salute! thumbup
