Skykomish Coho November 17, 2013

Postby screaminreels » Mon Nov 18, 2013 7:33 am

With the hard rain on Friday night the Skykomish came up about 18" and colored up. Saturday the river was on the drop and was fishable just in time for our trip on Sunday. We had a fun day even though fishing was not as hot as earlier in the week. We managed to put three really nice bright Coho in the net and lost two others. We also released two Chum that absolutely put on a show taking the mag lip plugs. The Mag Lip 4.5 has been doing well for us lately. The plugs dive awesome and the Coho can't resist them! One tip for those of you who are still chasing the Coho is to put the plugs out about 55 feet and back them up fast. Push them through the holes quickly and you will get bit. I will also sweep them back and forth in the tail out which gets the to grab it. See you on the river!

Good to know, I hear tales of some big hooknose still being caught in the salt. Should be good to the end.
