Late Season Blacktails

Postby Robbo » Fri Nov 01, 2013 1:14 pm

Here's the two blacktails my hunting buddies took the last few days of the general season. The bucks were coming into rut right on schedule and both of them got close shots on rutted up blacktails. I had a head shot on a nice buck at 145 yards and passed it up hoping to catch him the next morning. Kind kickin' myself now for not taking the shot tommygun

Yeah...I shoulda taken the damn shot in hindsight. The way he just walked off I thought I could either catch him in the big open draw he was walking into or perhaps get him the next morning. I got neither bangheadwall

Maybe I'll get some karma points out of it and shoot a masher in Montana next week 8-)
