Couple 12 lb'ers, one on the bar at early tide change, second one at Pilot Point on the incoming tide.

Great day on the water... didn't see Big Red out there but probably at PT. Dangit the pic was upright on my puter. Oh well lean left. Anyone know how to rotate the pic??

Dang Nelly, great looking boat, great looking fish and a great looking wife! You definitely out kicked your coverage!

I fished Pilot Point on the opener, landed one fish (low to mid teener) and had a drive by. both on a purple haze hootchie with a twinkle skirt. Threw all kinds of different spoons at them with out a sniff.
Went out Wednesday morning with thoughts of heading to Mid Channel, but the bouncy ride kept me closer, the wind waves were enough that it just didn't sound like much fun to plow all the way to PA and back so I fished Pilot again with no luck.
Gonna try again tomorrow.
By the way, I can attest to the fact that Nelly was out on the opener, he flew past me like I was standing still on the run back to Everett.

After a scorching opener and a change in the weather that softened the bite, things seemed a bit more "normal" on Midchannel Bank this morning.

Moving into a later morning ebb will make a difference too. This weekend and next weeks tides look really, really good drool.

Keep your small spoons and hoochies on the bottom, go with the flow and you'll score!
In addition, there are good signs of life on Pt. No Point and Area 10 in the Jeff Head area are kicking out chinook.

The big surprise to me is the number of ocean -yes, I said ocean coho in July! In fact, we caught two coho in north Area 9 yesterday...could be an early sign of things to come?

Here's today's catch aboard Big Red: Lynn Dicus, Jim Johnson of Jet Chevrolet and yours truly 8-)

A big thanks to Sharon and Ralph Zaleck and their generous donation to CCA as they purchased the salmon trip I donated at the May fundraising banquet in Everett.

If you're not going to catch a bunch, then catch big ones! That's what Sharon and Ralph Zaleck did! Sharon's is pushing 20lbs and Ralph's tickled the 26 pound mark
