Love the outdoor line big fan, I have been stalking for a while and need a qustioned answerd. My question is what model of the kenai kwik series are you guys using for downrigging. Is it the XCC 1064 gh? Thanks

Thanks DD and yes, you nailed it exactly! The Lamiglas XCC 1064 Kenai Kwik is my favorite downrigger rod.

To break down the model number, the prefix XCC indicates a graphite casting model while the suffix ( final two letters) "GH" lets you know you're getting a graphite handle (cork is too fragile for serious downrigger use) and the "106" lets you know it's a 10' 6" rod.

The final number is the rods "power" rating. I have a nice, light 1063 that is a sweet herring rod and a couple heavy 1066's that are bitchin' Buoy 10 diver stick!

Nellie you dated yourself right there :lol: haven't heard the term "bitchin" in a long time. I was an actual surfer dude back in the sixties when that term originated to describe a great wave. I know I know you don't go back that far :o
