Hey Tony,
Keep in mind that no regulations are final until after the NOF (North Of Falcon) process ends on April 11 down in Portland.
Today's discussions in Mill Creek regarding the sockeye fishery were largely supportive of retaining some in-river opportunity in spite of the lower forecast.
One option proposed was a one-fish limit in the river and two in Baker Lake to lengthen the duration of the fishery.
There is nothing set in stone as of yet and it's not too late to let your voice be heard!
The next meeting is Wednesday at the Embassy Suites in Lynnwood starting at 9am.
One more thing that I would add is the lack of sportfishers in attendance. The 18 attendees from the public were nearly outnumbered by the WDFW personnel . Nothing short of embarrassing
We have a wonderful natural resource opportunity on five species of pacific salmon here in the Puget Sound region and it's more than worth fighting for.
