I See Dead Lingcod

Postby t_dub » Thu May 10, 2012 5:34 pm

on Possession this morning. we got these two just at the start of the outgoing tide, drifting poor, defenseless sand dabs.

proceeded to Mutiny, where we anchored up and got fully skunked for the next 4 hours. sand dabs were mauling our bait both places we stopped. any cure for that????

all in all, was a good day. the wary halibut still eludes me..........

Nice lingers dude. Sand dabs chowin down on my bait at mutiny is common. Ive smoked through herring on some days from them. What works for me is just reelin up 20 cranks coutin to 10 then droppin back down. But then again im a drifter, might be more difficult stayin on the pick.
