CELLAR DWELLERS!

Postby Robbo » Wed Apr 18, 2012 4:51 pm

Lets see some of your ling cod photos for crying out loud. Ling season is just around the corner...lets talk GATORS thumbup

Brothers Dave and Greg Allan with a couple of dandies from Noyes Island. They weighed exactly the same until Greg's puked up a China rockfish. Dave kindly took his $20!

Stam took off his ascot for just long enough to pound out a ling and yelloweye in July last summer with me :D

Mark Yuasa from the Seattle Times caught this big gator with Capt. Kim a few years back. They were fishing for hali's and just couldn't keep off the lingers. Trollers=Salmon Guts=Lings ;)

With four hours to kill before the tide was high enough to haul the boat out at the end of summer two years ago I made a quick run out to bang out some white meat. Three drops, three hooksets, and a quick limit of hali's and a bonus linger on El Pipe'O

John's from Virginia Beach and totally dug catching this ling on the Rover a couple years back thumbup

Vedder stuck his Nikon down the yapper of this gator and snapped this pic. That's about all I would put down that trap. That's a one way street

JERM WARFARE rockon

This year you'll be ready for the seas man :D :D :D

I don't know about you but I like eating ling cod better than halibut. It's all good...just like the texture and flakiness of the gators better!

Yeah I learned not to get S-faced before a day on the big pond in heavy seas.
Ginger worked well for me when the sea and fog weren't to bad. But I'll probably get the patch just to be safe.

I do like the Lings a lot too. I gotta hurry up and eat the rest or give it away.
Lingcod cheeks are my favorite:)

Wild Turkey...Nelly's favorite drool

Nice batch'a A9 gators there JW thumbup

Gettin' schnit-faced and not getting any sleep are the two worst things a guy can do before a big day on the ocean. That's easier said than done, however rofl

Have you seen these plastic floundy's yet Duck Dog?

https://www.jigstop.com/store/listmanuf ... 61b8e5cf5b

They sent me a couple a few years back and they worked good up north. I'm sure they would slay lings in the sound. Mine came with a jig head...pretty slick lure thumbup
