Bling, Bling!

Postby Robbo » Fri Dec 16, 2011 2:58 pm

Stam and I headed to the coast for another one of our short-notice steelheading ventures. Rivers are in, traffic is down, and fishing is good..lets roll :!: This time our guide buddy Bill Meyer from Anglers Guide Service had some openings and we were happy to ho the seats in his Hyde for two days. He and Kratzer have the Oly Pen wired thumbup

I made the mistake of telling Stam that I just missed a fish behind rock "X" riiiiiiight over there and two seconds later...hammer time!

One of the most perfect wild steelhead I've seen in a long, long time. Dime bright blinger with a snow white belly and cut steel shoulders. What a fish drool

The wild one got me fired up too. Bit like a freight train and went ballistic right out of the gate. Fricking HAMMER TIME!

Love the Brats but those "Wild Things" are like getting hit by a lightining bolt> rofl Man what a RUSH! Next time you run across John Koenig ask him about the time I hooked a big nate on the Sauk on a pink worm and did a somersault trying to get out of the raft after he landed the fish! Way too funny...

Yeah...it was okay, would've been great if the fish had been on the bite and just a little bit bigger...

It was still a nice couple of days to just be out on the water. We'll get 'em next time. ;)
