Area 9 still producing? And if so, how much longer?

Postby Captain Morgan » Fri Oct 21, 2011 2:31 pm

Anyone agree that the 2011 Area 9 Coho fisheries turned out better then forecasted?

This week, Todd Daniels from Tall Tail Guide Service has been blowing me up with a bunch of sweet pics from the Snoho system.

For us in the salt, this week has slowed some, one day a struggle, the next on fire,……my feelings is the success durring our fall days are greatly effected by a bouncing Barometric gauge, or Mother Nature sneezing!

My 10' 6" Fetha Styx downrigger rods with Q-Cove breakaway flashers towing Silver Horde spoon’s has been my “go to” rigging.
The hope is to keep dragging salt gear for Coho (weather permitting) until Oct. 31, when I switch from 12lb balls to 15lb’ers for playing in the winter mud.

So, this Monday’s plan is a quick road trip with Nick Kester from All Star Charters to fish the Quinault with Archie Howard and then,............... back to the salt? or the river?

Here are a few Area 9 pics

This coho season has been one for the books and the best part is: It ain't over!!!

I wouldn't worry about Todd Daniels. He can't figure out how to post pics on our forum!

"Esteam"... is that what comes off an E-TEC outboard on a cold morning?

I was hoping that if we ripped you enough that you'ld finally chime in,.. but I had hoped there would be pictures!

Oh well, go down to Outdoor Emporium and pick up your boat stickers and if you won't show us your fish will you at least come on the show Saturday and tell us about them?
