STILLY COHO MOJO

Postby STANWOOD BOB » Tue Oct 18, 2011 7:32 pm

After a GREAT day up on the Skagit 10-11-11 I fished my home waters on the Stilly 10-13-11 and did a few LDR's on two nice sized bright silvers but came back on Friday the 14th and after only 1/2 hour of fishing did battle with this Bad Boy! :D Epic tug of war with jumps, rolls and that spinning that these silvers are known for... Caught on a cerise jig ( Thanks John) with a Silver Horde UV skirt added as a teaser over the hook this was a GREAT fish on a GREAT day!

Thanks Robbo it was a toad ! Idid online calculations with measurements and it was close to 19 pounds 8-) Let the truth be known I thought I had hooked an errant Trident submarine for a moment... I have been "schooled" by your friend John Koenig the last few years on jigs and their proper presentation and I can say without a doubt as this photo proves> They really do work :D Really enjoy your POW blogs and hopefully if all works out I can come up and visit you this coming June or July!
