Been kinda depressed since nooks closed and havent been fishin much. Had a killer final day of the opener off No Point puttin 3 kings (i actually think they were BM) and a silver in the boat in less then 2 hours work.

Havent really been chasin the silvers other then tossin a buzz bomb around every now and then. Planned on fishin the edmonds derby all week and then plan was just to do circles in front of edmonds. Changed my mind after I saw nellys pics lastnight. Pretty much copied what he did today. Got a late start today and dropped my gear on the west side of the bar around 830. Started the morning off with a nice lookin king.

Gear back down and got into a couple humpys and a HUGE takedown that I played around with before it spit. That was all in about 30 min on my first drift. Ran back up to make the same pass and it was all gone. Once the tide swapped I jammed east and dropped gear in about 500ft of water between Poss Pt and Browns Bay. Immediately hit a double header of silvers that both made it to the boat.

And then it was pretty much none stop for the next hour. Silver after silver. Just couldnt find ANY size to them. Release a handful not wantin to fill our cards out cause we were in the derby. All in all a good day. Both set ups were flasher and Ace Hi with down between 105-125ft. On a different note. Question for Tobeck. Big fantasy football day tomorrow. Got Greg Jennings and Ochocinko going and cant make up my mind who my 3rd slot WR should be. Hines Ward or Mike Williams. With Rice out im kinda leaning towards Williams. Just wanna know what the mind of a hawk thinks like??

Good effort Bro!
Killin' me not making it out today! What a joke to be put in a position to have to release hatchery chinook in September... We are going to have to do something about that!

Fantasy Football questions? Really....? Dude, there are no lineman in anybody's fantasy....

sounds like a great day on the water Brandon; good job!

Nelly -
Yes it would be nice to keep that late Chinook this time of year. Maybe folks can give up that November and last half of January blackmouth fishing in MA 9 to to move those Chinook impacts to this time of year. Or would giving up that March and early April period make better sense? Or maybe a return to shorter seasons in the "Juans" would be a better option? What say you?

The last couple of years the seasons have reached the point that those key mixed stocks areas we are in a zero sum game. New or expanded opportunities have to mean reduced opportuities at other times or areas. Probably a great topic - what different seasons do folks want to see and what are they willing to give up to get them?

For expanded seasons I would be willing to give up all gillnetting.

Here is a question for you.
Since we know sportsman can not hurt the population, and we contribute all the money, we are the ones concerened with conservation
Why should we give up anything?
