Snohomish Humpy

Postby David » Wed Aug 31, 2011 9:57 pm

I took my youngest out after school for some humpy fishing on the Snohomish. For some reason, he thinks the males that are all morphed with a hump are the coolest salmon ever, but he has never caught one. Well, we took care of that today. He latched onto this ugly thing and got it to the boat. His life is now complete.

Fishing was slow, but consistant. Jigs and Dick Nites were both working.

That's one happy kid there! Things should only improve in the Snohomish with the large run of coho hot on the humpies heels!

David -
Great pictures - humpies were made for kids and other newbies (as well as for some of us old farts that just enjoy time on the water catching fish).

I agree with your son in that when those males first "morph" they are one of the coolest looking fish. His fish pictured is a prime example!

Contineud great fish1
