While not red-hot, by recent standards, hook-ups were fairly steady with a mix of kings/silvers.
This last "toad" of the summer hit @ 1:00pm on a whole fresh herring on 60" of leader with a flasher, 28 ' off the ball (with a seperate flasher 5' off the back of the ball), down 70-80 ft. on the wire (exact depth unkown, as I was dropping the setup 10-15 ft. every couple of minutes, trying to "make something happen" in the last few minutes of the day)
Big, slow, throbbing head shakes all the way up told me it wasn't a silver, and my partners cleared the deck and got the net ready like a couple of champs.
42" long, and 26" girth, estimated at 37lbs.
What a site she was thru the polarized glasses as she twisted and thrashed when she got to the boat!!
Luckily, the first run was right up the side of the boat, into the waiting net in my partners hands!!
Disappointed these fish won't be available out there for the upcoming 3 day weekend....
