Fishing Nootka Sound soon. Any suggestions on where to fish? What to use? I have a 21' sled so I am looking for some protected waters after the ocean gets a little rough. thanks for the help.

Hey Eric,
Check out http://nootkasoundresort.com/

You can drive right to Moutcha Bay and it is protected and productive! Right out front you have great chinook fishing as well as crabbing and shrimping!

All of the gear you use for chinook in Puget Sound will work just fine in Nootka. When in doubt, go to a QCOVE Jim's Breakaway Flasher and Silver Horde Kingfisher Lite spoon.

They have fuel, propane, bait and a great resort ready to serve you!
I'm heading up later in August and I can't wait! Good luck!!!
