Saturday Morning - Where Will You Be?

Postby Ryan » Thu Jul 14, 2011 4:40 pm

So it's 5:00 am, Saturday, July 16th. We've got a three hour head start on Nelly. Where are you fishing? My boat is at Shilshole so I'm debating between Jeff Head and Possession. Jeff Head is closer and I know some CnR fish have been caught there. But Possession calls based on past success and the fact that no one's touched it for a while. Probably west side of Possession for me (unless I've once again mixed up the incoming, outgoing approach). Where are you going and why?

Dude... that's just cold! You're killing me!

Actually, I don't blame you a bit and if I was out early on the opener I would not run by Possession's east side. On a big low tide, bait and salmon tend to get pinned on the side of the bar the tide is running in to. The "tideward" side if you will.

I do like Brandon's Midchannel Bank call though. We are due for a strong season out there and this year just might be it!

The biggest clipped fish I've taken in Puget Sound was a 33 pounder that I took off Jeff Head two years ago so don't think that A 10 won't make a strong showing.

To tell you the truth, there probably won't be a bad spot to be unless you're in the studio with me & Tobeck

So, whatever you do, please do not call in or text us with fishing reports! It will just be too painful
