Pt. Defiance Chinook

A particularly pesky main engine starter repair put Westport out of the picture for today, fishing partner canceled with his boat @ 10 pm last night, so I was left with "the troll" up and down Owens Beach on the kicker this am.
Missed the first two take-downs to what I determined to be a dull hook, put fresh point on the back of my favorite funky chicken spoon, set her to 99ft. on the Cannon, and was rewarded with a fat, spunky 10lb. Hatchery Chinook.
Didn't seem to be that hot of a bite, but there is TONS of bait/feeding fish on the screen.
My mechanic just called and he has a THIRD starter (this week) ready for me, if all goes well, look for ya'll in area 9 Saturday.

I hope you get that starter locked down! It sure sounds like there are fish in MA 9 and 10! I hope you make it and good luck!
