I would have to say that it would be premature to accept these findings as gospel.
It's a interesting aspect but until this researchers work has been duplicated by others studying similar aspects of salmonid life history, its hardly a bullet.

Overall, when you consider dams, seals, sea lions, terns, cormorants, over fishing and poor land use practices,... clipping an adipose fin.... please :roll:
