My New 23' Has Begun!

I made out on the Sky today to get used to the larger boat. I am used to 20' ers. This boat is an absolute dream and performed flawlessly. I know, I know.....I work at Wooldridge so I must be bias. Let me set the stage. The very reason for working there is due to the fact that I am very familiar with these boats, have owned them for years prior and am a true believer. A near 24' sled that will go in 3 " of water and corner like a sports car not to mention track while free drifting like no other! What more can you say...........I feel fortunate to say the least.

Tobeck- I will be out on Wednesday and Saturday. I gotta admit, we didn't mark a whole heck of a lot of fish today but I am still optomistic. Let me know when you want a ride!

Well.......................? Opening day on the Sky was a lil' slow. We managed 1 hatchery steelhead, one wild that we refrained from taking a pic of (it needed to babied) and an unseen beast that got the best of me. All in all it was great to get out and fish the Sky again after the 3 month closure. Especially exciting was running the incredible new Wooldridge!

Opening day was kind of an enigma and I believe it was the rising water level that was the wild card.
It sounds like the Monroe area was a great call early and when the water height stabilized, Sultan turned on in the afternoon.
With a 75 degree Saturday and a very warm Sunday we will have a few days to talk about it before it will be in shape to fish again
