No kidding Scott :!: That bungholio even had the audacity to catch a 50 plus in my prop wash. The nerve :D :D :D
Took me a while to find this pic. It was 57 to be exact...at the "Tip"...where big nooks only fed on the surface last year. Imagine tying into one of these on a fly rod. Hmmm...

Unfortunately he'll probably do the same thing to me this year. Actually, he probably won't, I think were at the dock cutting bait when he's doing most of his damage

LOL...they do a lot of work early out there for sure. Unfortunately on this particular day I'd already been there for two hours when Mr. Watch-This-While-I-Catch-A-57-Pound-Chinook-On-The-Surface-In-Your-Prop-Wash showed up to show us how it was done. Fricking classic!

What day are you guys starting this summer AKKings?

I fly up on 6/4 and I think my 1st group starts on 6/9. Hope the early June fishing is like last season, if so, should make for a fun 3 or 4 days of pre-season scouting. Hell, you'll have a week or so head start on me, I'll just drive around till I find the Polar Bear, then, drop'm boys! ;)

Roger that. We'll be sniffin' around out there quite a bit before you guys get rolling. I'm sure it won't take ya too long to figure out where it's happenin'. Gonna miss seeing 25 around this summer!

You'll have a head start on me but you'll probably see our new crop of rookies out running around before I get there. You'll probably also see Sean (WF25) only in a bigger boat, he bought a 38' troller and is in Craig right now getting it ready for the season. Don't know if he plans on keeping it there or moving over to the Ketchikan side, he really wants to fish the king opener in July on the outside but he also says there's alot of $$$ to be made trolling chums near Ketchikan. I'm sure you'll run into him around town and he'll tell you all about it.

What the matter Rod? Tired of lurking?

No, I just figured out I could use this laptop other than surfing Porn. Who'd knew? Actually I don't own any spot up there, I just enjoy grinding @ the Tip, Tree and Sein Rock. Last year was good to me. I actually had a couple days Nelly where I got more than "One". "One Fish" seems to be a Washington disease that I suffer. So far it hasn't migrated up north . And yes, It is nice to be out on the water when others are still eating breakfast or cutting bait. Most of the big ones last season were caught before the fleet showed up. But we know that's not always the case. They Bite when they bite???? Robbo, to your defense you're not the reason you get out there later. You just have dudes that spend too much time at the hill bar and don't get out of bed. It looks like this will be my last full time season, if so I will miss it a lot.

Incredible  Two posts from the "floating facist" and they are both quality, entertaining and equally indignant to both Robbo and myself!

Keep "em coming Rod! I especially enjoy your new tag line: "The Women of Craig make me look Skinny"...
