Good luck Bucket!
Halibut is open up there too! Is there any white meat on the agenda?

As long as the water is half way decent, white meat will be on the list.

Do you go out of Neah for that? On a descent day how long does it take you to get up there? Where do you tie up at night? I imagine there's a lot of parks in the islands up there?? Sounds like a fun trip.

Done the Neah thing a few times in the old days. No longer like leaving rigs in Neah Bay so we haul up to Port Alberni then run out. Approx 3hrs to Bamfield from Neah. Some camping on the islands is available, several places to tie up, we tend ta tie up inside a bit, where the bunks are decent size, the room is warm and dry.

That was awful nice of NOFISH to offer to reel in all your halibut for you. Crank the heat up in the cabin and poke your head out the window once in a while and holler "I want the halibut count and I want it NOW :!: :!: :!: "

I know you guys will have fun...wish I was tagging along. Look forward to the report 8-)

Quick report from the hinterlands of Barkley Sound:

Haven't seen the fishing camp in 18 monts, so we figured we better go see if it was still there, and when we got there we had some chores to do (imagine a trip without chores with bucket along  ). After we got some heat rolling, we got the shrimp traps set and the next morning pulled 'em and HOLY Mother of Prawns! Got them cleaned, and went and stuck our nose out in the Big Blue and it was a little lumpy so we decided to troll around for blackmouth even though we knew it would be a little slow (no bait inside). Picked up one 14 lb'er in Sarita Bay, and called it a day.

Day 2: More prawn traps, and then run out to seven mile for halis........still not perfect conditions, but we give it a try. After an hour of NOFISH, one of our men goes down dry heaving so we decide to head back in and end his misery. HOLY Mother of Prawns & Crab

Day 3: Found a 15 lber at Diplock, and jigged up a couple of nice lings too. And HOLY Mother of Prawns and Crab
