Waterproof fishing bib recommendations?

First off a big thank you to everyone who has helped me out with all of my questions about setting up my drift boat, your advice has been very helpful! Looking for a good pair of fishing bibs so I dont have to wear my waders every trip. Looked at Cabelas guide wear, Helly Hansen, Grundens, Columbia, and some Red Ledge Drydens they have at Sportco. Like to hear what all you hardcore anglers/guides would recommend for staying dry/warm in a drift boat.

The Redington zipper front waders absolutely rock and you'll not find anything to keep you warmer and drier than a good set of waders in a driftboat.
If you're set on bibs, then for me it's Grundens for heavy-duty use and the Columbia Sportswear PFG zippered bibs for drier, cooler days!

Wont buy another pair of waders without a zipper...A must have!

I was lucky enough to get a set of Frabills new FXE Storm Suit a few weeks agao and have wore them just about every day for about 3 weeks other than 3 days last week..simply put, they seem to be the sshhhhnnniiiizzzzz. Haven't been wet once and they are well thought out. I'm sure Sportco has them.

Grundens lightweights there like $69, can't beat them for the money. I've had Cabela's Guide Gear and Stormhide which are nice but Spendy.

I always wear my Redington CPX zipper fronts in the driftboat. They're comfortable and the zipper is awful convenient when it's time to take a wizz. They retail at around $300 and well worth the money's in my opinion. Sure wish I had these back when I was guiding full time...dangit

When I'm on the charter boat I wear Grundens Brigg 44 bibs and jacket. The stuff is bulletproof! If you need something a little more comfortable Jim's suggestion of the Grunden's lightweights is also good. They're made of stretchy material that's really comfortable, especially in the summer. It's also easy to roll up and pack in a bag when you travel.

again for the Grunden's Petrus. i think they are perfect for around here and the number of fishing days i put in. lightweight, comfortable, flexible, totally waterproof without feeling like you've got a heavy duty tarp wrapped around your body.

have a pair of the new simms bibs and jacket, and let me tell you this stuff is the best hands down. I lived in them every day I fished the Columbia the last month and let me tell you I have never been so impressed!

Another vote for Grunden Petrus. Lightweight, but tough as nails. Light enough that you will not notice they are there. I've used them fishing, hunting, clamming, yard work, etc. Also come in tall for those of us over 6'2".
