My fishing buddy once told me he had done some research on full moon and fishing and he found that a high percentage of world record fish were caught 2-3 days either side of the full moon. It would be interesting to know if that is true.

That is the first time I have heard that! It sure makes you think though. You could confirm that with a look through the IFGA's records and a moon phase chart.
