Shrimping in Marine Area 13

Postby anklebiter6 » Sat May 09, 2015 10:51 pm

Seeking advice. Want to try Shrimping this year and have heard that the Olympia Area is a decent place to go with a longer season. Looking for tips and locations.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard AB,
Taking a look at a chart, it looks like the deep water off Devils Head on Key
Peninsula would hold prawns.
Run your sounder and look for a haze hovering above the bottom. That's most likely prawns, so just.keep motoring until you see life down there and drop those pots!!! cheers

Let us know if you have any luck. I've been looking a while now for a good area.

Will do. Have two sets of friends going out to try different locations. Will let you know how they do.
