Fishing in Canada is always a good idea!
Trying to guess what the upcoming season will bring and assuming that the ocean temps will cause the same migratory anomaly as last year? Different story.
It's hard to explain why the weather has been so mild but keep in mind that the eastern half of our nation has been getting lashed all winter long.
The point is that it's hard to look at our regional weather and make coastal assumptions.
We could have a great season here and if you take a hard look at SST's (Sea Surface Temps) and the Climate Prediction Center's current forecasts you'll see a rapidly weakening El Niño and a cooling trend in the North Pacific.
I hope it gets -and stays- cool out there so we get some hot fishing right here!
