IMO you can not go work with Maxima line, Ultra Green for drift fishing, pulling plugs I like the high Vis, but I also run a 20ft of Ultra Green from the end of the High Vis to my plug,
Pline braid for float fishing.

There are so many choices you just need to find one that you like..................

I'm a Berkeley guy when it comes to line.
Trilene Big Game is my go-to for leader material and the Big Game or Tracer Braid is killer main line as well!
Great performance at a great price. That's what Berkeley has meant to me year in and year out! cheers

I've used Maxima and Trilene for years with good results. We did have one epic failure this summer with mooching leaders for coho. I bought some maxima fluorocarbon and tied up some mooching leaders using a Snell Knot, hadn't used fluorocarbon before and got the info off U Tube. We ended up breaking the leader between the hooks on about 6 of the leaders and broke off several more in front of the first knot. Went back to using maxima ultra green and egg loop knots and didn't have any more problems. I did something wrong tying up the leaders and would like to figure it out. We picked up some Seaguar material to try this next season, any suggestions would be appreciated. There were so many silvers that we went through the dozen leaders in the first hour. Changed back to maxima and filled the cooler. So any ideas where I screwed up?

In my little experience with Fluro i felt that it gets kinda brittle when using in the salt and had a huge loss of strength. For the salt I use Berkley High Viz for downrigger rods and Maxima ultra green for leaders. Nelly got me hooked on the Berk High Viz last year. Like a laser prism straight off your rod tip to the water. Helps a lot when taking new people out.
