What a great week in Costa Rica with any even greater group of people. Lets start this story with a bunch of photos from this past week at Los Suenos...Here ya go
Tom will do anything for a dollar. In this instance he wolfs down a bunch of cheddar cheese "Larvets" at the Dallas airport
We welcomed everyone to Costa Rica by throwing a shindig at "Casa Dome", one of the many luxurious homes at Los Suenos Resort. Here's Tobeck running down the rules out by the pool
The stalwarts of the party toasting the fish gods
Here's Ali with the first dorado of the trip. Not a lot of do-do's around this year, but we managed to catch of a few of the popcorn variety for the bbq and ceviche later. Hopefully someone posts the photos and video of the 55 and 70 pound do-do's caught later in the trip by Team Bite the Big One
Ali with her sailfish from day one on the water. Notice the seas...flat as a french pancake
Kelly follows up with another popcorn do-do for the bbq
John Keizer showing off his bbq'd fish at Los Amigos in downtown Jaco. Nice night on the town with the Lowrance boys
Nothing like Mario-Carting with a street legal golf cart on the freeway. Cab's are available, but this is much more entertaining and more my style
Lowrance was the title sponsor of this event...here's the A-Team with a sailfish from day two
Ali and John from Reel Adventures at the Hook Up in the marina. John was kind enough to donate a guided fishing trip on the Kenai River for two people. This would turn out to be another great evening.
Kelly and Ray G at the Hook Up prior to Gringo Grande making them drink too much
Kathia and Nick from All Star Charters
Tobeck found this little treat on our dinner table. Apparently someone in our midst is a Photoshop wiz
Two really big fellas messin around results in...
...this. The straw that broke the camels back
Kathia, Nickster, and I in my bad motor scooter
Team Bite the Big One ready for another day on the billfish grounds
The words "Yeah, I'm going to stay behind and help you out for the day Robbie" had just trickled out of my cakehole when I turn around and see the 42' "Tres Amigos" pulling away from the dock with Ray G and the gang aboard. Ray hollers..."better hurry Robbo...we need another guy". The fuses blew in my squirrel brain and before I knew it I was...squirrel-squirrel-squirrel...loping down the dock and leaping for the boat as it pulled out. "So, Robbo...at noon I want to run down and pick up...Robbo...where's Endsley...WTF!""
Ray G and John Whitlatch with a million dollar backdrop. Los Suenos Marina is nuts
That's more like it Our deckhand tries to control Ali's sailfish...to no avail
Ray G latched onto another hot sailfish
Just one of many great photos that were taken on this trip. Hope to see some of the others here soon
Gotta love the bluewater
