Northwest Daiwa rep Kiley Brehm jumped in the boat with me between shows to do some steelheading. Even though the water was low and clear we managed to scratch up a few willing blingers and as always it was great to spend some time with Kiley. He's a cool cat

I stroked a limit of nice hatchery brats...
...and a nice 17 pound buck that fought like a champ.
And then I made Kiley make me a samich. Capt. Rob is always hungry
I side drifted with the stick lead all day and I'm 50/50 on it for side drifting. I think in rivers like the Sol Duc/Hoh/Skagit that have large cobble bottoms they can be very effective. In lower gradient rivers with a lot of wood, however, you're going to break off anyway. Just my .02 after one full day of use
