Salmon Parasites?

Postby onwhiskeycreek » Wed Oct 01, 2014 7:00 pm

We have noticed small, approximately 4MM, white opaque balls in a few of the salmon. They seem to be more prevalent in pinks but have also found them in Coho. They are located though out the flesh when present. We are curious if anybody knows what they are? We have noticed them in both salt water and fresh water caught fish.

Appreciate any insight into what these are.

It is a parasite. Though not very appealing, it is harmless.
