Goodbye Big Red!

Postby Nelly » Fri Sep 27, 2013 2:47 pm

Today is the end of an era for me and my fishin' buds...

My Stabicraft "Big Red" is no longer mine.

Meet the new owner "Big Wave Dave Opstead! He didn't waste any time learning how to fish out of his new boat. We had our limit today by 0900 despite the "BIG WAVES" out there!

Dave's handle here on our Forum is "oppie". So, if you see him out on the water, swing on over and give Dave a big WAVE! wave wave wave

Good luck Dave! I sincerely hope Big Red treats you as well as it has treated me! cheers

At least you can be in "Stealth Mode" now...with half of the fleet following "oppie" around to his favorite fishing holes!

Yup! The "birthday" (build-day?) of the new Weldcraft is October 7th and the Evinrudes will be rigged by the first of November.

It's a 28-foot Weldcraft that is kinda gonna look like this!

Looking forward to many years of fishing, hopefully some of Tom's good karma stays with the boat!
Thanks for all your help learning Big Red's systems, I'm sure I'll have a millon questions over the next few months.
Thanks again Tom! cheers
