Hey Brandon, I was the one who probably babbled "salt water power bait"... I meant to say salt water Gulp.
Flounder just can't leave that stuff alone.
The other option is breaking mussles off pilings at low tide. Break the mussles open and fish the meat of one or two on a #1 or 1/0 hook close to the sinker (Like Smalma said..).
Sand dabs are then best fished on a 3' 50lb leader and a pair of 5/0 hooks tied the full length of the flounder. Hook the flounder through the upper jaw so he can easily breathe and let the back hook dangle.
Remember, when Mr. Ling comes a callin' let him eat it!!! Reel into the bite and then pick out a ling recipe!!!
