Upper Skagit Coho

Postby MR.G » Tue Nov 08, 2011 6:47 pm

Last Saturday I was able to fish the upper Skag for a few hours and it was awesome! The sky was clear and the banks were empty! I swung a spinner, twitched a jig but the cured roe prevailed. I went 3 for 5 in a bucket holding several fish, just letting the bobber swirl around. The bite was really hot for about an hour, (10am-ish) I released one smaller Coho and kept two for the smoker. Looks like there should be salmon around rite up until the hatchery Steelhead start trickling in. Ther are many opportunities with this coming razor clam dig, blackmouth and salmon in the systems. Good times! G
