MA/9 Humpy Run

Postby MR.G » Mon Aug 29, 2011 9:45 am

I fished the Picnic Pt./Shipwreck area yesterday. The pinks are in super thick and the three of us, (Dad and Shove) were able to get our limits. It is always a pretty cool sight to see that amount of fish! People are throwing fly's, casting buzz bombs and trolling the standard humpy gear... all putting some hurt on the pink salmon population! If you want to get after some pinks in the salt, NOW is the time! It's also time for me to fire up the smoker and gear up for the coho. Good luck! Garret

Just got off the water, two of us limited out in 3 hrs. It would have been sooner if an Orca pod consisting of at least 10 didn't roll right past us. It was a cool site to see 10 Orcas coming straight at you. We were just north of shipwreck, 1/2 mile off shore at 0815 hrs. <")))><
