Overnighter Tuna Trip

Postby Todd » Mon Aug 01, 2011 7:47 am

Headed out on the Ranger this coming Friday night thru Sunday...got my box o' swimbaits and light gear rod handy, besides my trusty 8' Lami Tri-Flex and Avet MXJ-6 for swimming 'chovies.

Anyone been out of Washington lately? Since we're running out of Westport, I can see an early departure Friday afternoon and an all night run south and west...probably be off the coast of northern California by the time we're done!

All I can say is "Good luck Brother"!
I'm sure they are out there but the persistant cloud cover has been preventing us from getting a good Terrafin or Sea Surface satellite picture.
Finding the blue water has been a challenge but Tobeck is heading out this weekend and knowing him... he'll find it! Follow Tobeck!

Canner is ready to go... and if things go right, there'll be plenty of fresh stuff next week, and plenty of canned stuff thereafter...

I don't think you guys will have to run that far for tuna, they have been off our coast for weeks and I have some in the freezer to prove it. We did get a good Chloro shot this weekend and I am heading out tomorrow so I will report back. You should have some great weather this weekend, forecast looks awesome right now, good luck!

Anybody hear if Robbie got his boat fixed and got out today? Sucks to be stuck in dry dock on a day like today!
