Broken Pin on Lowrance Unit

Postby loop » Thu Jul 06, 2017 6:36 am

Dang! I broke the male pin to my Lowrance LMS 525 which I use as a backup to my HDS unit. It was difficult to plug in so I was adjusting the pin to line up, (yeah-I know), and broke it off. I believe it's the sonar plug. Anyone have any options for a fix besides running a new transducer and cable in? Granted it's a backup system, but it's nice to have it. Any advise is appreciated, thanks

fix?

Yo Bro,
This is a tough one but I think you're on the right track with the new 'ducer.
Fortunately, Lowrance has teamed up with Airmar and there are a bunch of adapter cables and generic 'ducers available at Harbor Marine in Everett, Sportco in Fife, Outdoor Emporium in Seattle and on line.
Good luck! cheers

Thank you sir!...I'll head towards Harbor Marine. I see Lowrance does offer a 7 pin blue adapter cable which can be attached, (soldered) to the old cable. I'll figure out if my soldering skills are up to par, thanks..........
