In addition to joining and supporting the efforts of these groups (PSA, etc.), write to your congress representatives and indicate how critical this issue really is, particularly if special interest groups such as the Wild Fish Conservancy (WFC) are successful in closing all Puget Sound hatcheries and now, possibly the Columbia River hatcheries (the next target of the special interest groups). The consequences to the future sport, commercial, and tribal fisheries would be catastrophic (i.e., there would be no future fishing for steelhead or salmon in Washington.) boxing

Thanks Tom and Rob for posting. Folks visit this site and your forums because they like to fish, and it SUCKS that we have to get political to protect our opportunity to go fishing, but that's the world we live in. I can't stress how important it is for folks to sign the petition, to ask their friends, families and neighbors to sign as well, and then have them ask their friends, family and neighbors. Lists of names count and voters are what it takes to get the attention of politicians.

Also, please visit the https://www.facebook.com/sportfishingcoalition/?fref=ts Northwest Sportfishing Coalition Facebook page, and like/share it. It's a little thing, takes a couple minutes, but is incredibly important. There's an election coming up, and this is one of the ways we will make politicians listen to the voices of recreational anglers.

Thanks!!!
