Columbia River 2012 Springer Forecast!

Postby Nelly » Mon Dec 12, 2011 2:48 pm

I'm liking the trend...
After several years of over shooting the spring chinook forecast, the WA/Oregon Technical Advisory Committee got it right last year. In fact, they actually underestimated the run!
Here's our first glimpse of our salmon opportunity for 2012!

Columbia River Mouth Fish Returns Actual and Forecasts:

2011 Forecast: 198,400
2011 Return: 221,200
2012 Forecast: 314,200

When the Willamette numbers are tossed into the mix, we could see the Lower Columbia number exceed 400,000!

Salmon barbeque anyone??? rockon
