License Sales Up Since 2006!

It's not all gloom and doom here in Washington. Check out this chart that highlights a huge increase in resident and non-resident license sales from 2006-2010.

That is great news and a definitely encouraging development in an otherwise dreary economic outlook.

One would hope that given the proposed hatchery budget cuts that Olympia will take a look at the income derived from the outdoor sports and not vote to kill the "golden goose"! :D

You are correct Nelly, with the general fund money being pulled from WDFW, our license fees become a bigger part of their budget and they need to keep that in mind when they make decisions. Commercials generate very little income for WDFW especially when compared to their take. We need to continue growing our sport and the only way to do that is to continue to provide fun and successful fisheries.
