2011 Washington Tuna Classic Information

Postby WaveDancer » Sun Jun 05, 2011 10:49 am

The 2011 Washington Tuna Classic is proud to announce that this year’s event will again be held in Westport Washington, August 26-27, with the event banquet being held at the Westport Maritime Museum the evening of August 27.

The 2011 WTC will have a few new things added this year and we will be announcing them soon.

One of the new things for the 2011 WTC is that we will have a Charter Division.

With the help of the Westport Charter Boat Association, we now can offer those people that have wanted to be part of the WTC but didn't have a boat or are part of a team, a way to participate.

The Charter Division participants will be get an event T-shirt as well as raffle tickets for each tuna they turn in along with a banquet meal voucher to be used at the main WTC event held on Saturday evening, August 27th , if they so choose to attend it.

Once again with the help of the Westport Charter Boat Association, we will be taking Wounded Warriors fishing and look forward to the many stories and memories that come from this part of the event. Last year we had 23 Wounded Warriors join our event for 45 different fishing trips and we anticipate having at least that same number again, if not many more.

For a lot more detailed information, go to our website at http://WWW.WASHINGTONTUNACLASSIC.COM . You will also find a lot more information on our website about becoming a volunteer, sponsor and prior year’s results, along with the origin of the WTC.

Registration for the 2011 WTC is now open and can be done following the instructions on our website to register on-line, or you can download forms to mail in a registration using the Downloads tab on the right side of our home page.

If you have any questions, PM me or contact us through the WTC website via the "Contact Information" button on the right side menu.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at this year’s event.

The WTC Crew.
