Squid with an Ace Hi Fly?

Looking to fish Cypress/Guemes area this weekend. Plan on running a spoon/Coho Killer on one side and Ace Hi Fly on the other side. Has anyone had success with using squid with an Ace Hi Fly insert? Is that neccessary? Overkill or worth it? Plan on a small herring strip on there as well. Up for all suggestions for gear. Thanks.

Whassup 'Shirt and welcome aboard!
I kinda love the Purple Haze hoochie with a purple Ace-Hi fly insert particularly for Coho but also for Blackmouth. Will it work for summer/adult chinook? Absolutely!
However, that purple over purple combo is most often fished with a herring strip for Coho in my boat.
