Need some guidance on where to go in area 7 to fish for winter blackmouth. This will by my 1st time in the San Juans and I do not want to lose gear or waste time. Any hints are much appreciated!

Not sure where you live, but you might want to come check out the Fidalgo - San Juan Islands chapter of Puget Sound Anglers. Each month we have a guest speaker, and a club member presents "How to fish this spot." We meet the third Tuesday of each month 6:30 PM at Village Pizza in Anacortes. Link provided below. John Martinis has a book out that can be helpful, as well as some info on other salmon fishing websites. Good Luck
