Good idea RR. I hope that Nellie shares these ideas with cannon so they can fix this. Full disclosure, this is not a problem for me because I run Scotty's now. Years ago, I had Speedtrolls, and they had a similar issue, so I used the ball hanger as a line guide and that took care of it.

I do indeed work with Cannon on constantly improving their products and the fairlead issue is definitely on the radar. If you recall when the new STX Cannons came to market the boom pulley had an issue and it was fixed pretty quick.

To Robbo's point on the speed of retrieve, I don't think that's the way to go as the "AUTO UP" button defaults to the highest retrieve speed.
