Salmon for Soldiers - Volunteer Boat Captains

Wanted to thank everyone in advance for their overwhelming support of Salmon for Soldiers and send out a couple of reminders to volunteer boat captains and their crews participating in the Salmon for Soldiers fishing event this Saturday (9/13).

1. Pre-registering on Friday - If you arrive on Friday, which would be highly encouraged (free dock space, seminar and good fun at the docks), please pre-register. Check-in is next to the work yard haul out and Fisherman's Tribute Plaza on Craftsman Way. This will help relieve some of the pressure on Saturday morning and hopefully get you and your soldiers out on the water faster.

2. Friday's Seminar - John Martinis from Johns Sporting Goods has gracious volunteered to give a "Fishing Clinic" seminar on Friday that will run from 6-7 pm at Harbor Marine. We had a number of inquiries concerning fishing spots and techniques. John, Rob, Tom and others will provide their expert advice to increase your chances of accomplishing the overall mission...getting all of the soldiers on the fish! Please remember this is not a competitive derby. thumbup It will also be a good place for you to network and meet other volunteers so please attend. We have designed VHF Channel 68 for the day of event so please share fishing locations if you are hooking up.

We wanted to thank everyone in advance for your tremendous support for the Salmon for Soldiers 2014 fishing event. Looking forward to getting our soldiers on the fish!!

One point of clarification. Pre-registration (check-in) for Friday will be at Harbor Marine. Thanks!
