Life on POW

The wife scheduled us for a break to go have fun this week, the cabins all squared away and we'll head out and try and find a fish in the morning. We got a shipment in from Sportco (got to love a company that ships to Alaska) today with some new stuff to try. After reading about Pro-Cure products here we decided to give the Brine 'N Brite, Bad Azz dye, and Anise Plus a try. When the wife started getting the stuff together to mix the brine she got a gleam in her eye when she saw the dye. Sure enough while I was down in the fish room cutting herring she comes down with the brine and streaks of Bad Azz Blue in her hair. The scary part is there are jars of Brilliant Red and Brite Pink Bad Azz dyes in the order.

When we got back to our cabin there was a sow and cub on the driveway, and the water in front is black with Pinks. She has the first 56 pints of pinks canned for Luke the Newfoundland only another 144 to go. The eagles are hanging out everywhere screeching and swooping. The Black Bear store has gotten the ice cream machine going again after a couple years so we got a cone for the ride home. The leader board was filled up with a bunch of fish in the fifties, seems the people getting all the big fish didn't buy tickets.

It's funny how ya have to schedule breaks around here so you can relax a little bit. There's so much to do here in the summer it's easy to lose track of time. Sounds like you guys have it figured out over on the other side of the island though Gary...good on ya buddy thumbup
