The Outdoor Line on 710 ESPN Seattle, the Puget Sound Anglers, and the Wounded Veteran Fishing Program (VFW Post 318) are happy to announce the 2nd Annual “Salmon for Soldiers” fishing event in Everett, Washington on Saturday, September 13th, 2014. What better way to say THANK YOU to our wounded veterans than to spend a great day fishing with them on the Puget Sound.
This years fishing event is planned around the peak of the annual silver salmon run in Puget Sound. The rivers of the north Puget Sound boast some of the strongest silver returns in Washington and the saltwater fishing for these aggressive fish can be spectacular near the Port of Everett.
Last years event was a huge success and we expect even greater things for the 2014 Salmon for Soldiers fishing event. We've set a goal of 100 boats for 2014 and we're expanding the event to accommodate 200 wounded veterans. Best of all...the event is open to ALL wounded veterans. Space is limited, however, and we recommend registering early!
If you're looking to get involved in this awesome event please give one of us a shout. No one deserves a fun day of fishing on the Puget Sound more than our combat wounded veterans!
