Columbia Springer guide info needed

Postby baddawg » Tue Mar 13, 2012 7:07 am

I am looking for a springer guide on the lower Columbia. I would like to find someone that trolls more than anchors as I want to learn so I can eventually use my own boat for springers. Not really interested in setting up my Arima with river anchor so trolling is the best option. Would prefer someone who fishes the lower part of the river as that is where I would most likeley fish with my own boat. Who do you recommend?

There are tons of good guides down there. I know Todd Daniels (Tall Tails) guides that fishery for Springers between Steelheading on the Cowlitz. There is also a guy named Cameron Black of Gone Catchin Guide Service, who is a excellent local guide down there out of Woodland. Cameron is super tuned in on that Springer fishery. Good luck- G
