BC Halibut opens March 1

DFO has anounced that Halibut will open Mar. 1st. Daily catch and possesion limits to be made in the next week or so.

If you are running from here to Victoria to but fish, I would stay away from the locals boatsup there. They have been pretty hot at us lately, especially with the added cut to their quota coming this year.

As said earlier, the season opens March 1st. The limit remains the same as last year. 1 per day, 2 possesion. The season will end when TAC is caught. Sometime in September I think. Good luck out there.
