2012 Fishing Calendar

Postby Ray G » Wed Jan 25, 2012 9:34 am

Every January I sit down with the Calender and plan most of my trips. I base most trips on past success and run timing. This year I am looking to get outside of the box and try something different. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Here is what I am looking at so far:

February - Steelhead on the Coast
March - Steelhead on the Coast
April - Springers on the big C
May - Halibut
June - Summer Steelhead
July - San Juan & Puget Sound Kings
August - Puget Sound Kings/Silvers - Buoy 10
September - Puget Sound Silvers & Tuna
October - River Kings & Silvers
November - River Silvers
December - Hatchery Steelhead

What does your 2012 look like?

Your calendar looks somewhat similar to mine Ray...heavy on the salmon and steelhead rockon

February -Coastal Steelhead/Disco Bay Blackmouth
March - Coastal Steelhead/San Juan Blackmouth/Costa Rica Sailfish
April - Springers/Yakima River Trout
May - Coastal Halibut & Lings
June - SE Alaska
July - SE Alaska
August - SE Alaska
September - River Coho/Summer Steelhead/Puget Sound Silvers
October - Fall Kings/Mule Deer/Blacktails/Elk
November - Silvers/Waterfowl
December - Hatchery Steelhead/Waterfowl

It's bound to change, but that's a start thumbup

Of course my calander is similar to everyone elses....

this year I tried for something that's been on my "bucket list" for a while...

sturgeon

I found this guide on another forum that is excellent. He had a seminar at the new Sportsman Warehouse that got me going..

I always believe that when you want to know something, hire someone who does it for a living.

he launches down by Dranno Lake and is worth the 3.5 hour drive...

(might give you guys something to do in January to fill up your calander)

...i'm just passing on a fishery that is fun, this guy puts you into fish,,, like 30-50 during the day! tommygun
